Our short film “The Barn” is currently in post production.
Trial footage
Part of the process of making movies is trialing different shots and situations. Working with animals is always difficult, so we did a trial run of footage with the horses. Watch the video here.
Post production
During the editing process, we often find holes that need to be filled. For instance, in this movie, we did not get a close up of Anna flipped the lights on.
On the night of the shoot, the horses were surprisingly calm. In the script, we need the horses to be anything but that.
To fill in those holes, we will do a “reshoot” aka a very limited shoot that does not involve any cast members. This is common among movies and shows, even unscripted ones.
3 day production
We had 3 days of production (actually nights) with several “trial” days. Since this was our first movie after a long break, we kept it simple with locations we know very well.
